Two years ago today, Jeff Burk started working with Eraserhead Press. As a happy anniversary and thank you to Jeff, I would like to tell you a little about one of the hardest working men in publishing.
Jeff Burk is a writer, performance artist, publishing assistant, the Editor-in-Chief of The Magazine of Bizarro Fiction and a fiction editor for our cult horror imprint, Deadite Press. He is the author of the novels Shatnerquake and Super Giant Monster Time and the novella, Cripple Wolf, appearing in The Bizarro Starter Kit Purple (coming November 2010).
Jeff Burk is a punk rock anarchist, political science and history buff, comic book geek, pop magician, and Star Trek fanatic who believes in free speech, anarcho-capitalism, getting no sleep and having a good time.
Jeff has worked in some very unusual circumstances and never been afraid to jump in and get any job done. From dealer’s tables at conventions to making guest appearances as an author, doing grunt work around the office, entertaining a crowd, sticking with late-night editing sessions, brewing beer, and finding my car keys in the waves of the Pacific Ocean, Jeff doesn’t have a job, he lives a lifestyle.
Jeff gives his time and energy selflessly, is a constant promoter of Bizarro Fiction and the authors he works with, a pop culture maven, my confidant, a brilliant business man, and one of the coolest people you will ever hope to meet. I can’t thank Jeff enough for all the hard work that he has put in to Eraserhead Press over the past two years and I am so grateful to have him as part of our amazing team.
Thank you for being my right hand, Jeff.
Lots of love and appreciation,
Rose O’Keefe
